CEO/Executive Director
A visionary leader, passionate entrepreneur, and dedicated advocate for exceptional care, Angie Coey is the driving force behind AvantiCare. With over 30 years of experience in business development, executive recruitment, and leadership, she has built a career centred on connection, empowerment, and making a meaningful impact in people’s lives.
Angie’s journey is of relentless passion and purpose. As a senior business executive, she has worked globally, helping well-funded start-ups to Fortune 500 companies secure top leadership talent. Her expertise in executive recruitment has shaped the careers of hundreds of professionals, particularly in the healthcare sector, where she has built strong, lasting relationships. Angie firmly believes that the right fit is crucial, not just in business, but in life, empowering clients to make impactful leadership hires that drive success.
Beyond her professional achievements, Angie's heart is in her community. A dedicated mentor for over two decades, she has guided students, hosted international guests, and developed a deep passion for fostering meaningful connections across cultures. Gesela Gomez
Office Admin/Client Care Relations
Gesela Gomez has been a dedicated member of the AvantiCare family for seven years, but her journey with us started even earlier, at just 16 years old, as a co-op student. From the very beginning it was clear that Gesela had a natural ability to connect with people and a deep passion for compassionate care. As she grew, so did her role at AvantiCare, evolving into the skilled and invaluable professional she is today.
After completing her Bachelor of Business Administration at Humber College, Gesela brought a wealth of knowledge and skills that perfectly complement her role. Today, as our Office Administrator, she ensures the smooth operation of our office through her expert scheduling, coordination, onboarding new employees, and event planning. Her attention to detail and ability to multitask keep everything running seamlessly.
Beyond office management, Gesela plays a crucial role in Client Care Relations, a position she thrives in. Her ability to build meaningful connections with clients ensures that every individual receives the personalized support and attention they deserve. She truly loves getting to know clients, listening to their stories, and finding the best ways to provide care that feels both professional and personal.
Known as the heart of the team, Gesela has worked in nearly every role at AvantiCare, making her an incredible resource for colleagues. Aiman Ume
Finance Admin/Business Development
Aiman Ume is a driving force behind AvantiCare’s continued growth, bringing a sharp analytical mind and an unwavering ambition to every project she takes on. Born into a diplomatic family, Aiman has lived in Europe, Australia, Pakistan, and now Canada, giving her a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and a mastery of languages. Aiman is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Toronto, specializing in finance. Yalchin Nijat
Content Creator
Yalchin Nijat brings intelligence, creativity, and an incredibly strong work ethic to his role as Content Creator at AvantiCare. With a sharp analytical mind and a natural curiosity for learning, Yalchin plays an important role in researching, developing, and managing healthcare content that supports both the company and the communities it serves. From in-depth healthcare blogs to social media strategy, he approaches every project with focus, precision, and a desire to continuously improve and innovate.
Originally from Urumqi, China, Yalchin grew up in a family environment that placed a strong emphasis on education, discipline, and perseverance. From a young age, he demonstrated exceptional academic focus and determination, consistently striving for excellence in his studies. His dedication paid off when he achieved an extraordinary milestone, scoring within the top 1% on the highly competitive Chinese entrance examinations in his province of Xinjiang. This accomplishment opened the door for him to pursue new opportunities abroad and ultimately brought him to Canada in 2022 as an international student.
Now residing in Ontario alongside his brother, Yalchin is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Toronto Mississauga, specializing in Finance with a major in Economics. With an expected graduation date of April 2027, he remains highly focused on building a future in finance, a field he is deeply passionate about. His natural strength with numbers, combined with his analytical thinking and entrepreneurial mindset, allows him to approach challenges strategically and creatively.
At AvantiCare, Yalchin’s role extends beyond content creation. He has become a key contributor in researching complex healthcare topics and transforming them into thoughtful, informative, and meaningful content for clients and families. His ability to dive deeply into research and communicate information clearly has helped shape much of AvantiCare’s educational and digital presence. In addition to writing, he also supports the company’s social media initiatives, helping manage and grow multiple online platforms while bringing fresh and modern perspectives to the brand.
What makes Yalchin especially valuable is his ambition to continuously learn and grow. Colleagues recognize him as someone who is highly focused, dependable, and always eager to explore new ideas and opportunities. Megan Hrebik
Placement Coordinator
Megan Hrebik brings energy, leadership, and a strong sense of organization to her role as Placement Coordinator at AvantiCare. Born in Oakville and raised in Milton her entire life, Megan has always had a strong connection to her community and the people within it. As the oldest of three siblings with two younger brothers, she naturally stepped into a role of responsibility from a young age, something that continues to shine through in both her personal and professional life today.
Megan originally began her postsecondary education in Pre-Service Fire, driven by her passion for helping others and being part of meaningful, fast paced work. However, her path eventually led her toward healthcare, where she discovered a strong connection to patient care, community involvement, and relationship building. She completed her Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification and is currently pursuing her Registered Nursing (RN) degree through the University of Guelph-Humber’s nursing program. Her long-term goal is to continue growing within healthcare while combining her passion for clinical care with leadership and operational coordination.
At AvantiCare, Megan plays a vital role as Placement Coordinator, overseeing caregiver scheduling, client placements, and day-to-day staffing coordination. She thrives in an environment where she can stay organized, proactive, and involved in multiple moving parts at once. Megan has a natural ability to manage complex schedules while ensuring both clients and caregivers feel supported throughout the process. Her strong attention to detail, structured mindset, and desire to always stay informed make her exceptionally dependable within the office. She enjoys both the healthcare and operational sides of the industry, balancing compassion for people with the fast-paced coordination required behind the scenes to keep care running smoothly.

She is a passionate traveller who has explored destinations across Europe, Iceland, the Caribbean, Vancouver, and other parts of Canada. She especially loves hiking and spending time outdoors, often travelling to the East Coast for hiking and camping adventures. She is also a dedicated sports fan who enjoys watching hockey and baseball, and she closely follows the hockey career of her younger brother as he works towards becoming a professional athlete.
Growing up, Megan herself was heavily involved in athletics, playing competitive softball throughout high school and rugby during her younger years. Beyond sports and healthcare, she also has a creative side and a secret passion for hairstyling, often practicing and experimenting with hair on family and friends. And like many busy healthcare professionals, Megan is a true coffee enthusiast who appreciates a good cup of coffee to fuel her active lifestyle.
At home, Megan’s love for animals is evident through her two energetic Dalmations, who keep her busy with their daily routines and long walks. Whether she is coordinating placements at AvantiCare, studying towards her nursing degree, travelling, or spending time outdoors, Megan approaches everything she does with dedication, enthusiasm, and heart.

Mariam Ume
Administrative Support
Mariam Ume brings energy, ambition, and a strong willingness to learn to her role as Administrative Support at AvantiCare. As the youngest member of the office team, Mariam has quickly become a refreshing and valued presence within the organization, known for her positive attitude, attention to detail, and eagerness to take on new challenges. Despite being early in her professional journey, she has already demonstrated a level of focus and maturity well beyond her years.
Currently balancing school alongside her responsibilities at AvantiCare, Mariam is highly driven and committed to personal and professional growth. She approaches every opportunity as a chance to expand her knowledge, develop new skills, and gain hands-on experience across different areas of the business. Born in Saudi Arabia and raised in Canada, Ayesha has lived in Brampton and now proudly calls Milton home. Aleta Judy Berueda
International Placement Coordinator
Jude brings a calm strength, global perspective, and incredible attention to detail to her role as International Placement Coordinator at AvantiCare. Known for her focus, efficiency, and strong organizational skills, Jude plays a key role in supporting international recruitment and placement coordination, he;ing ensure that caregivers and healthcare professionals are guided through the process with professionalism, care, and precision. Behind the scenes, she is an essential part of keeping operations moving smoothly, balancing recruitment, and administrative coordination with dedication and heart.
Originally from Antipolo in the Philippines, Jude grew up in a close knit family as the second oldest of four sisters. Her upbringing instilled in her a strong sense of responsibility, resilience, and family values that continue to shape who she is today. While her parents still reside in the Philippines, her journey has taken her across the world, with one sister living in Canada and another in the UAE. It was actually her youngest sister who encouraged Jude to make the move to Canada in pursuit of new opportunities and a brighter future.
Before immigrating, Jude earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, a path that reflected her passion for organization, leadership, and people centred work. During her time living in the United Arab Emirates, she worked in customer service for one of the region;s largest supermarket chains, where she quickly found herself drawn to management and operations. She enjoyed the fast paced environment and the opportunity to take initiative, utilizing the leadership and customer service skills she had developed through her education.
Jude’s connection to AvantiCare came through a longtime relationship with Angie Coey. Through a family friend who had previously been placed by Angie many years ago, Jude was introduced to the AvantiCare family, a connection that eventually led her to become an important part of the organization herself.
At AvantiCare, Jude specializes in international placements and recruitment coordination, helping navigate the administrative and human side of bringing talented caregivers and healthcare professionals into Canada. Her strong focus, ability to work efficiently under pressure, and exceptional data entry and organizational skills make her a valued member of the team. She approaches every task with professionalism and care, understanding how life changing these opportunities can be for the individuals and families involved.
What makes Jude especially unique is her balance of discipline and creativity. Outside of work, she enjoys playing video games, particularly RPG and story driven games that allow her to immerse herself in creativity and strategy. Growing up, she was also a competitive dancer throughout high school in the Philippines and enjoyed volleyball, music, and artistic expression. Her love for pop, R&B, and hip-hop music reflects her vibrant and energetic personality.
As someone with an international background and experience living and working across different countries, Jude brings a global perspective to her role at AvantiCare. While continuing her journey in the UAE, she remains an important part of the AvantiCare team, supporting international placements and recruitment coordination across borders. Her long term goal of pursuing work in food safety and operations reflects her passion for structure, organization, and professional growth. Jude’s journey is a reflection of resilience, adaptability, and ambition, while always remaining grounded in the valuesthat matter most to her: family, connection, and creating opportunities for others.

Elma Miller
Brand Ambassador
Elma Miller is the heartbeat of every room she walks into, energetic, joyful, and always ready to make a difference. As AvantiCare’s Brand Ambassador, Elma is more than just a representative of the company, she’s the living, breathing spirit of our mission. Whether she’s building relationships in the community, attending events, or connecting with families and caregivers, Elma spreads awareness of the AvantiCare name with authenticity, warmth, and her signature sparkle.
Originally from Davao City, Mindanao in the Philippines, Elma describes her hometown as a peaceful, family-centered place where life is simple and full of joy. In her words, “everyone is nice, and everything is relaxing.” That same spirit of kindness and community lives in her work. Growing up, Elma was surrounded by the strength of family bonds and the tradition of gathering around food, a cultural value she carries with her to this day in how she connects with others.
Elma holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, but when she moved to Canada in 2019 with her husband, she discovered a new calling. With her natural love for movement, connection, and care, she realized her heart belonged in healthcare, a path she’d always been drawn to but hadn’t yet pursued. Her nurturing nature and vibrant personality make her a perfect fit for the caregiving world. She has experience as a nanny and has always had a special place in her heart for working with children.
Since 2019, Elma has worked alongside Angie and has become a true part of the AvantiCare family. As Brand Ambassador, her role is dynamic and impactful. She helps amplify AvantiCare’s presence across Ontario by fostering partnerships, engaging with community organizations, attending outreach events, and making sure the public understands who we are and what we stand for. She is constantly on the move, sharing stories, delivering care packages, supporting recruitment efforts, and creating lasting impressions with every handshake and conversation.Elma’s strength lies in her natural charisma and deep sense of empathy. She makes people feel seen and valued, whether they’re a potential caregiver, a family looking for support, or a stranger she meets at an event. Katijah Ordanel
International Placement Coordinator
Katijah Ordanel, known affectionately as Kat, brings warmth, compassion, and purpose to her role as Placement Coordinator at AvantiCare. With a strong background in both healthcare and personal support, she plays a vital role in matching the right caregivers to the right families, making sure every placement is not only professional, but personal. With her deep understanding of care and her natural ability to connect, Kat ensures that every client and caregiver relationship begins with trust and understanding.
Born and raised in the tropical province of Antique, Philippines, Kat describes her hometown as the place “where the mountain meets the sea,” a reflection of its natural beauty and the strong family values that shaped her. In the Philippines, mealtimes brought families together, and that spirit of closeness still drives her today. Before moving to Canada, Kat was pursuing a degree in finance, but her path shifted when she followed her passion for people and healthcare, something deeply rooted in her upbringing, as her mother worked in the healthcare profession.
In 2018, she moved to Canada as an international student to study Pharmaceutical Technology at Oxford College, and later earned her Personal SUpport Worker (PSW) certification. Since then, she’s worn many hats in the home care world, working as a PSW, a nanny, and a caregiver. These roles have allowed her to do what she loves most: caring for others, engaging deeply, and building meaningful, lasting relationships.
At AvantiCare, Kat’s experience on the front lines of care shines in her ability to recruit and place caregivers with empathy and precision. She understands what families need, because she’s been in their shoes, and she understands what caregivers bring, because she’s been one herself.
