Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Implement individualized care and support plans, promoting client autonomy and skill development.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that meets the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance client well-being.
  • Encourage community engagement through recreational and social activities.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of services provided.

Requirements

  • A diploma or certification in Developmental Services or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Current TB screening and a clean criminal background check.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada and a valid driver’s license.
